This is the first blog post to my B283 class with Brother
Lafeen and I am so excited for this semester. This semester we will have the
opportunity to create a small business and project which will be $100
challenge. I am still in the process of picking a small business idea to work
on through this semester and as part of the assignment for this week we made a
list of 40 business ideas. Twenty of those ideas where for the $100 challenge
and the other twenty ideas are for a bigger business or dream business. I have
narrowed it down to the top three which is small business photographer,
translating services or maybe even personal trainer. I’m still trying to decide
which business will be more successful and easy to manage as it will be the
first business I ever create on my own. I’m excited that the earnings will go
towards a person who is needing a loan. I personally decided to help a family
in need who needs the money to cover medical expenses for the father. This
family lives in Monterrey, Mexico so I know it is very hard to raise the amount
of $1,300.00. I’m so grateful for this class and the ability to be able to
serve others while I am taking classes.
